Monika Immrová (1970), a graduate of the sculpture studio of Jindřich Zeithamml at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, is intensively involved in graphic design in addition to sculpture. The catalogue Shapes presents a cross-section of her work to date. Monika Immrová is devoted to intaglio printing techniques, with the help of which she creates her minimalist compositions, which correspond very closely with her sculptural work. It is interesting to explore how the same shape changes when it is processed graphically on the surface or, on the contrary, sculpturally in different materials and even in different sizes. A characteristic feature of Monika Immrová's direction is the abstraction of pure form and a thorough exploration of its artistic possibilities. The catalogue is published to accompany the exhibitions at the Ostrov Summer Palace and the Regional Gallery in Liberec.
